TimeDebt is an expense tracking app that helps you understand the true cost of your purchases by converting them into time. Instead of just seeing "$50 spent," you'll see "2 hours of work" based on your hourly wage. This perspective shift helps you make more mindful spending decisions.
TimeDebt uses your hourly wage (which you set in the app) to convert expenses into time. For example, if you earn $25/hour and spend $100, that purchase cost you 4 hours of work. You can update your wage anytime, and it supports both hourly rates and annual salaries (which it converts to hourly).
None. TimeDebt stores all your data locally on your device using Apple's secure storage. We don't have servers, we don't collect analytics, and we have no way to access your financial information. Your data is 100% private and never leaves your device.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find TimeDebt and tap it
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
Yes! TimeDebt works completely offline. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you don't need an internet connection to log expenses, view your history, or access any features. The only time you need internet is when subscribing or restoring purchases through the App Store.
If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices, you can restore your subscription:
- Open TimeDebt
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap "Restore Purchases"
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Yes! TimeDebt offers a 7-day free trial. You can try all features without being charged. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything.
Currently, data export is not available, but it's on our roadmap. Your data is always stored locally on your device, so it's included in your iPhone backups.
When you uninstall TimeDebt, your data is deleted from your device. Since we don't store anything in the cloud, there's no way to recover it after uninstallation. We recommend keeping regular iPhone backups if you want to preserve your expense history.
